1  –  SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT : SIU

When police officers are involved in incidents where someone has been seriously injured, dies or alleges sexual assault, the SIU has the statutory mandate to conduct independent investigations to determine whether a criminal offence took place. The effective fulfilment of this mandate, with all of its associated challenges, remains critical to fostering public confidence in policing in the province by ensuring thorough and independent investigations that stand up to public scrutiny

2 –   WOMAN AND CHILD SUPPORT UNIT (WACSU)

This unit has been constituted for the special cases being registered against women and Children. The main function of this unit is to do counseling in matrimonial disputes and petty issues involving women .This branch also investigate the criminal cases related to women and children.

3    SECURITY BRANCH

The main function of security branch is to collect information / intelligence regarding offences or crime related to ND&PS /Criminal activities/Excise Cases and VIP/VVIP Security related issues. This branch also deals with all issues related to foreigners.
